We evolve with every new thing we experience... so this go around I am going to shoot for Masters Bikini INBF Worlds in Boston... I am 16 plus weeks out..and it's focus time ....Food is dialed in work outs dialed in ..w a few planned cheats untill I am 13 week out..then my friends I am all over it 100%. Iam loving the Bikini posing..it's whimsical and free...less military...I loved Figure comps but it's fairly military like..lol But yet very classy!.. Both are fun as it is a time we can really dig in the heels and move to the next level! My online training is flourishing and it's so rewarding to see my peeps making progress..so rewarding! IN house peeps classes maxing out in my private groups which is also exciting for me ...I feel the love so to speak btw the classmates and themselves .....I feel we all bond because when it comes to wellness it's a personal matter.... there are good days and rough days ..human nature..when we can pull out of the rough and move forward that is a amazing feeling! So game on! Pick a goal......Set a date..... Be accountable to you...Step out of your box....and stop repeating history move forward! Dedication ...... focus on clean eating well balanced life and the focus on show day needs to come from the heart! Your energy says so very much about who you are... ON show day we must take a deep breath.......... enjoy ........stand proud.......... and above all walk from the heart! ......... Competing helps us set goals ..be accountable to ourselves! Its a tough road no doubt..... bit of a mind game as well as a physical challenge..but ohhhh the feeling of really pushing your limits is a sweet one! I tell my peeps...please please don't focus solely on the win this needs to be your day of accomplishments not of looking to your competitors and comparing yourself... Of course we love to place........ but we must do this from the soul...We must present from the heart! Do not judge others either... we don't want to look at anyone and say gee should they be here...Dam right they should because it's their journey... we don't walk in anyone elses shoes we do not know where they came from...So on show day and while training up to show ... We must focus on our journey and we must praise our bodies for tolerating our continued thrashings in the gym..;-) Game on 9.5 weeks out! We train ........we obsess a bit ........we inspire...but in the end the feeling of getting ready for a show is one to always remember ...The feeling of working towards a goal...the feeling of dedicating oneself is really enlightening! A quote from Gaspari notes today was "How your day goes is all about your perception and positivity...If you have it in your mind that nothing can stop you it simply won't! Have you made a goal? Set a date? Made it a measurable goal? If you start now summer can be a better experience with a well planned goal! Game on! 13.5 weeks out! We as competitors are in constant flux of change...but boy to maintain dedication is so very important even as a trainer I am always reminded on just how the little infringements affect us! Yesterday a dear client and co worker and I traveled to MInneapolis to attend a seminar..we had our amo and we ate 90% from our prepped food we did purchase a salad and tossed in a quest bar but we maintained the plan! What a great feeling.. Today in my weigh in ..body fat check I am pleased to say the progress continues on track! slow steady movement.. Fast weight loss and fast weight gain is not the way to do this.. IMO.. Who wants to walk around extra large with body fat developed from unclean foods? Not ME! Fast loss will leave you looking not quite so healthy.. To be a competitor we want to portray a healthy fresh full yet lean appearance... Not an exhausted emaciated dry look...So well planned and well rotated clean foods are manditory IMO. We must work with our very own chemistry..We all respond to foods differently... There isn't a cookie cutter macro plan ... Not one that leaves you looking at your peak.. So train hard and remember YOU are unique in all your needs and the tweaking is needed ... Remember BE THE BET PERSON YOU CAN BE~ Break out of that box and push it just a bit harder! 31 weeks out (left )18 weeks out (right) Making a committment to do a show is always a challenging adventure but it can be one of the most rewarding as well. The excitment of making it to the point of a stage ready is nothing to balk at..If you haven't tried it trust me it's a pretty cool experience and somewhat addicting... To feel and know you really gave it your all to know you put your heart and soul out there are all feelings one cannot truly express other then it is really REALLY fun! Of course being strict with meals isn't always fun but the food doesn't have to be bad either make it good ...Eat !! This isn't about starving it's about the right combo for YOU....... proper nutrition and work out plan can make the journey like no other.... Committing and patience are so important and doing it in a healthy manner equally important! We don't want to shut down our metabolisms... we don't want our bodies to think we need 4 hours of exercise to get results.. Train smart people! Eat sleep and do not over train! Share your journey ...make it real.... comparing 31 weeks out vs 18 ... Plans are to compete in May 2014 ...But if life throws a curve then I bump it into Oct..But for now I am training for MAY! When you make a commitment make one you are really willing to stick too...Work through the rough days and make it fun enjoy the process! Cheers |
