I've always been athletic and relatively slim. I'm a runner. I used to hit the weights a time or two a week, and a spin class religiously. But as I've gotten older, the weight has crept up a bit. And when I started a medication two years ago for my chronic insomnia, my weight exploded.
I felt out of control, confused, bloated, embarrassed and uncomfortable.
How I pictured myself didn't match what I saw in the mirror. I tried a couple different weight-loss programs but nothing budged that scale.
My cousin Amity came to visit last fall and she looked amazing (she always looks amazing, but even more than usual . I saw she was eating differently and she told me she was working with Sandy.
Sandy worked and listened too each clients story ....so I checked out Sandy's website (wow, those testimonial and competition pictures!) and called her a few days later.
I knew right away that I was in the hands of a professional.
The woman knows what she's talking about. She reassured me.... that if I allowed her to coach with the meal options and fitness plans, if I did my part, I would make changes...
So I did.....
Workout by workout, meal by meal, pound by pound, the weight slowly came off. I was going to the gym more consistently, but I focused on strength training and spent much less time on cardio.
What was especially important for me was that I basically had to re-learn how to eat. And Sandy was there each step of the way with answers to my questions, pep talks, strategy and reality checks (apparently it takes longer than four months to get her abs). I'm not done yet but what keeps me motivated is seeing these comparison photos that Sandy sends me. I feel healthier and stronger than I ever have, and it's just going to get better.
